Spouses of Most Followed Countries – Billboard

They might not top the charts Billboard chart-toppers like their country-superstar partners, but a handful of Nashville wives and husbands have become celebrities in their own right as social media influencers — sometimes even attracting millions of followers.

Interspersed with adoring photos alongside their friends are often posts about product recommendations, beauty tips, cooking tips, business recommendations, babysitting suggestions and – that’s where it sometimes gets tricky – politics.

Thursday, Billboard reported that Jason Aldean’s longtime advertising company, The GreenRoom PR, had parted ways with their 17-year-old client. Although GreenRoom’s statement to Billboard didn’t give a reason – other than to say the company is focused on music – the move came shortly after Aldean’s wife, Brittany, posted comments on her Instagram feed, including ” I would really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase,” followed by criticism of gender-affirming care. Although she later claimed that her comments were taken out of context (without explaining how), many people – including Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope – had called his comments transphobic.

Brittany Aldean has capitalized on the controversy by launching a new clothing line with proceeds going to charity and appearing on Fox News. Tucker Carlson tonight Thursday, positioning himself as an advocate for children.

But not all of these women (and men!) are looking for controversy on their Instagram feeds. Below are some of the most followed country music wives and husbands on the social media site and how they use their platforms.
